Alea Estudos Neolatinos covers linguistic studies of Romance languages (Spanish, French, or Italian) and studies of Romance literature (Spanish literature, French literature, and Italian literature). The journal publishes original literary works and linguistic research related to these fields. One of its main objectives is to emphasize the comparative nature of contemporary literary and linguistic research, particularly encouraging the highlighting of the importance of Portuguese in Romance language studies. The areas of interest include: Spanish and Spanish literature; French language and literature; Italian language and literature.
