《Tungsten》was founded in 2019 and is the first English journal in Jiangxi Province, sponsored by Jiangxi University of Science and Technology and the China Nonferrous Metals Society, under the supervision of the Education Department of Jiangxi Province. The purpose of the publication is to promote academic research in the tungsten industry, strengthen international academic exchanges in the tungsten industry, promote the development of scientific theories, technological progress, and independent innovation in the tungsten industry, enhance the international influence of Chinese scientific and technological journals, and strengthen China's discourse power in the international tungsten industry.

The magazine focuses on publishing academic papers on mining, beneficiation, smelting, analysis, electromechanical, automation, energy conservation and environmental protection, and comprehensive resource utilization in the tungsten industry, as well as original papers on the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, engineering technology practices, and the latest research results in the tungsten industry at home and abroad.
