Advanced Biology is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary hybrid access journal that published its first issue in 2017 (under its former name Advanced Biosystems). Advances in life sciences are outpacing traditionally defined research disciplines. To meet this challenge, Advanced Biology has expanded the scope of the journal to not only include innovations in basic and applied life sciences, but now also encourages submissions at the intersection of traditionally defined disciplines, i.e., cross-disciplinary studies, where integrative and emerging fields of investigation are being formed.
